We put up this protest song in March 2000 after Congress approved Clinton's military aid package to Colombia.

Now, two years later, Colombia has called off peace talks with the rebels and adopted the "American solution" — all-out military action against "terrorists."

And guess what? President George Bush has announced that he will ask Congress to remove restrictions on US military aid so that it can be used in the country's civil war, not just in the "war on drugs" as in the 2000 legislation.
